This project introduced an intelligent robot capable of autonomously identifying and classifying basic 3D geometric objects such as cubes, cuboids, and spheres. The system integrates a pick-and-place mechanism, locomotion, and object detection using ultrasonic sensors. Using digital image processing, machine learning, and neural networks, the robot locates individual objects in a defined area, determines their shape, and sorted them into designated zones. It also features a learning component: when encountering unfamiliar shapes, it assigns them to a new location and records their characteristics for future identification. The project showcased cross-disciplinary engineering involving robotics, AI, and database management, offering a scalable solution for automated sorting in industrial or educational applications.
